A full-stack fitness app whose AI coach answers only from a curated library of real training-video transcripts — a RAG pipeline (Voyage AI embeddings in pgvector, Claude for generation) that says "I don't know" rather than guess. Layered Flask API with JWT auth, a React SPA, PostgreSQL, Dockerized on AWS EC2 with CI via GitHub Actions.

Salary Calculator CR

Built to test sdd-beto, my Claude Code plugin for Spec-Driven Development. The app is deliberately small but has real rules (legal rates, tax brackets, money rounding), enough to run the whole pipeline end to end and see where the harness helps and where it gets in the way. The result: a client-side calculator for Costa Rican net salary.

About

Who I am

I'm a Backend Developer focused on building well-architected server-side systems — APIs, data layers, and cloud infrastructure — with a growing specialization in AI-integrated engineering: RAG pipelines, embeddings, agent workflows, and applying LLMs as real components of production systems, not just prototypes.

I'm also full-stack capable and comfortable owning a frontend when a project needs it, though backend and AI systems are where I focus. I consider myself a fast learner and genuinely passionate about technology — hence I've been deepening my AI-engineering practice through hands-on work with Spec-Driven Development (SDD), including building a custom SDD plugin/harness that structures how I break down and build software phase by phase, spec first, along with AI agent skills and CI/CD automation with GitHub Actions, bringing more rigor and repeatability to how I design and ship systems.
